Tests have been carried out on two types of seed species of Black and Red Lactuca sativa. For the process, the three saline media were inoculated at the same concentration and the seeds were incubated for a period of 6 days. After this period the length of the roots, the number of germinated seeds in each saline medium were evaluated. It was shown that salinity influences germination differently for red and black seeds with reference to the control culture medium.

Keywords: Ecotoxicology, toxicity, germination, salinity, Lactuca sativa.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Minerva}, author={Reina, Sofia and Correa, Melissa and Freire, Daniel}, year={2020}, month={Apr.}, pages={5-12} }
