When talking about acne, it can be said that it is a very common dermatological deficiency in young students, which causes emotional consequences such as depression. This prospective descriptive cross-sectional observational study, where 40 students of all levels participated, applying data collection instruments and subsequent statistical interpretation, with a correlation of acne-depression of 0.723 and age-acne of 0.495, establishing a significant correlation in the variables of the study. Regarding the variables of depression - age, a correlation value of 0.372 indicates that depression and age are related to the appearance of acne in the study population. It was determined that acne is related to the psychological state in people who habitually present anxiety, causing social isolation and the appearance of depressive symptoms. ER -
