Abstract
This study analyzed the scientific literature on communicative competences aimed at improving English proficiency among university students during the 2021--2026 period. A quantitative approach with a descriptive and analytical bibliometric design was employed. The sample comprised 50 articles. The results revealed sustained growth in scientific output, peaking in 2024, with Spain, Colombia, Thailand, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan leading the field and the communicative approach predominating. It was concluded that the field is expanding, with increasing internationalization and integration of technological tools, while the communicative approach remains its conceptual core.
