Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the documentation on political strategies and practices adopted by Latin American countries in the management of water resources between 2019 and 2025. A systematic literature review was conducted using the PRISMA methodology, consulting different databases and selecting 19 articles based on methodological criteria. The studies showed that, above others, the terms sustainability, access, and water governance within SDG~6 were the most frequently addressed. In conclusion, the region still faces significant challenges related to inequality, the lack of integrated management, heterogeneity in planning, and innovation in public management systems.
