Resumen
Esta revisión sistemática, desarrollada conforme a las directrices PRISMA, examinó evidencia científica reciente sobre la efectividad de las intervenciones psicológicas basadas en mindfulness (Mindfulness-Based Interventions, MBIs) en la reducción de la ansiedad en población adulta. Se analizaron estudios empíricos, ensayos clínicos aleatorizados, metaanálisis y revisiones sistemáticas publicados entre 2022 y 2024, aplicados en contextos clínicos, educativos y laborales. Los hallazgos muestran que las MBIs, incluyendo programas presenciales, breves y modalidades digitales, presentan una eficacia significativa en la disminución de los síntomas ansiosos, con efectos comparables a tratamientos farmacológicos en determinados contextos clínicos y con menor riesgo de efectos adversos. Asimismo, la evidencia respalda su impacto positivo en la regulación emocional, la reducción del estrés y la mejora del bienestar psicológico. En conjunto, los resultados permiten considerar al mindfulness como una estrategia terapéutica basada en evidencia, adaptable y accesible para la promoción de la salud mental en adultos.
