Abstract

This research analyzed the relationship between motivation and job satisfaction in 21 academic workers, employing a quantitative and descriptive approach. Two Likert-scale questionnaires were used, with high reliability (Cronbach’s alpha > 0,9). The data, collected ethically, were analyzed with SPSS v27 using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s Rho. A total of 57.1 % reported high motivation and 52.4 % high satisfaction, although intermediate and low levels suggest the influence of other factors such as organizational climate. Thus, the results show a moderate positive correlation (ρ = 0,699, p < 0,05), highlighting that psychological and intellectual characteristics influence satisfaction more than physiological aspects. It is concluded that intrinsic motivation is essential for workplace well-being, and it is recommended to strengthen communication, training, and recognition, in addition to furthering future studies on leadership and organizational climate.
